I thought this was a nice idea from Lily's Garden so I'm stealing it. :-)
November is the month to be thankful. It's only fitting that today, Veterans Day, formerly called Armistice Day that I be thankful for A veteran. Not anyone in particular, so many men and women have sacrificed great and small for the freedoms that we exercise. From religion, to government, to simply going to the grocery store, veterans have earned us these freedoms.
So today I am thankful for A veteran. Thank you to all our veterans for serving our nation with pride, honor, and integrity. Thank you for giving us the freedom to be independent, yet united. Through your selfless service we are the United States of America.
And to my husband, a veteran who is very near and dear to my heart, we love you, support you, and pray you come home safe to us very, very soon.
